May 2013 - Welcome Wall
Another big time ! My dear friend France and I decided to put our names on the Welcome Wall at the Maritime Museum as a symbol of being newly Australian citizens. It is a ceremony held twice a year, and so far 25,000 names have been engraved to this project wall. In a nutshell, this is to recognize how much immigration is part of this country and how welcome people feel about it. In a more narcissic way, it is also the opportunity to leave your name engraved on a wall which could become an evidence you were here.
